When I moved to Israel in 2010, I got thrown into nursing kitten rescue when someone I met decided I knew how to raise orphans (Why? It definitely wasn't true.  Did she misunderstand something I said?)  She shared my phone number with every single person in Israel who had a kitten to save. I couldn't turn dying babies down, so I learned how to care for them.
