HOW TO BATHE A KITTEN/PUPPY
Yes! You can and should bathe babies when they are dirty and don't have a mommy cat/dog to clean them. When they are clean, they are healthier and happier--just like you. Here's how to do it the easiest way--in a pot in the kitchen sink. Just make totally absolutely sure that the babies are dry and warm afterwards!
1. Fill a pot with warm water. Put a bit of dish soap on the baby.
2. Wet the baby and lather well.
3. Clean the ears, face and eyes.
4. Scrub out fleas and caked dirt and flea dust with fingertips/fingernails.
5. Rinse well.
6. Dry well! Towel drying might be enough in the summer heat and for an older (1 month+) baby. Littler guys and in colder weather, use a hairdryer on low heat. Be very careful not to burn the baby with hot air!
7. Clean and pretty!
8. Yay! Happy, clean babies!
After bathing, babies should be put back on their heating pads.
