WHAT CAN I USE TO FEED A BABY KITTEN IN A PINCH?
If you can't get a tiny bottle yet, there are other tools you can use to nurse a kitten/puppy. Don't let the lack of commercially produced resources stop you! Be sure that whatever you use is TOTALLY clean and free of any medicine/other residues. Most bottles have tops that screw or pop off. Get creative! These are the things I know can work, and I'm sure there are more:
--newborn (human) baby bottle
--eyedropper
--empty bottle of eyedrops
--empty liquid medicine bottle with the dropper dispensing thing on top
--syringe (obviously without the needle)
--straw (create a vaccuum seal with your finger over the top, and drop the milk in the baby's mouth bit by bit)
--twisted rag/towel/tshirt (soak up formula and squeeze into mouth)
--empty non-toxic white glue bottle
--the onion-shaped thing you clean kids' noses with by sucking the snot out
To find out how to make kitten formula when you can't get any from the vet/pet shop, either get goat's milk or read this:
There's no reason not to care for a newborn if you come across one who needs you! There are good substitutes for milk, bottles, heating pads, cages...everything. You'll find all kinds of different solutions to each obstacle by reading though my blog. Creativity is essential in nursing. There are ways to solve every single issue in life if we are willing to think hard... When lives are at stake, we can't shut down and despair just because the most apparent tools are not accessible!
